Upcoming Annual Child Protection Training

Unity Northwest Region and Unity of Olympia is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for our youth and community. As part of this commitment and policy, we hold annual training to ensure all leaders and volunteers are equipped with the knowledge and tools to uphold our child protection policies.

Training Details
  • Date: October 26
  • Time: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
  • Location: Room 205, TBH
  • Lunch: Provided
Who Must Attend

Per Unity NW Region and Unity of Olympia Policy, this training is mandatory for:

  • Board Members
  • Staff
  • Youth & Family Ministry (YFM) volunteers

It is optional for:

  • Sacred Service Workers
  • Team Leads
What to Expect:

Participants will receive updated guidance on:

  • Recognizing signs of child abuse
  • Maintaining appropriate boundaries
  • Reporting procedures
  • Church response protocols
For those unable to attend on Sunday October 26

We understand that this date may not work for everyone who is required or would like to take this training. If you are unable to attend, please go to this link here and take the training of your choice. Once you have done this, please submit the certificate to Kyle by email at office@unityofolympia.org
