    Unity of Olympia's Future - a Visioning Group

    Please join Reverend Terry in opening to the guidance of Spirit to lead Unity of Olympia going forward. It is not too late to register! We welcome your presence and participation.

    The Visioning Group will be a hybrid meeting on the third Friday of each month at 5:00 PM, May through November. Attendees can register for either in-person attendance or online via Zoom.

    Through these meetings, we will:

    1. clarify and understand the challenges that face our spiritual community;
    2. engage the power of Spirit through prayer to envision the highest and best future;
    3. provide the Council of Trustees recommendations for the future of Unity of Olympia.

    This work will be guided by the Creative Process as described by Reverend Eric Butterworth. Between gatherings, each member of the Visioning Group will be invited to practice this Visioning Prayer work and encouraged to brainstorm with one another.

    Registration is required and we ask that you commit to attending as many meetings as you can, to the best of your ability. If you have any questions, please contact us at office@unityofolypmia.org.

    Every Tuesday, 10:00-11:15am | Facilitated by Carol Ramstack

    Classes are designed for the senior body but open to all ages. We will focus on a relaxation, mindfulness, along with very gentle yoga poses; all with attention to the breath. This is a combination mat/chair class. If one is unable to safely get up and down from the floor, the practice can be done replacing the mat with a chair. Please bring your own yoga mat to each class along with any other props you use to make yourself comfortable. A small blanket or towel would be helpful.

    Classes are offered weekly and you may join at any time.

    Suggested donation: $10

    Please contact Carol directly if you have any questions.

    Sunday, August 22 | Annual Summer Picnic

    This year’s summer party will be "Clean & Easy" for our annual picnic on Sunday August 22, right after the church service. Join friends, family and meet others for lunch. Tables will set up inside and out so people can distance as necessary for personal comfort and safety.

    A buffet of sandwiches, salads, chips, drinks and cake will be served. A donation of $5.00 is requested for each person, but you are invited to give as much as you want. There is no need to bring anything except for your open heart and hopefully your sunglasses.

    Mark your calendars, you don't want to miss it!

    Self-awareness is necessary for optimal balance and functioning in life. To be self-aware is to realize the dimensions of self and the states of those dimensions.

    Course Description: Human beings are more than physical body; they also have spiritual and soul (psyche) dimensions which are equally if not more important than the body. Students will explore the dimensions of self by studying various systems and techniques for self- awareness. They will become more conscious of: their attitudes, beliefs and ways of being; symptoms of stress and imbalance; healthy responses to stress and imbalance; and how to integrate spiritual principles to maintain balance and honor all facets of their being.

    Recommended reading (required for SEE): Butterworth, Eric. 1982. In the Flow of Life. Unity Village Publisher, Unity Books. Hendricks, Gay. 2000. Conscious Living: Finding Joy in the Real World. San Francisco: Harper San Francisco.

    For SEE Credit: This course is open to all and available for Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) credit. Students must register with Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute. A one-time fee of $35 to enroll with UWSI as a student, and $45 for credit for this course
