At Unity of Olympia, we consider ourselves a spiritual cooperative. This means that we co-create this ministry together - from personal growth and spiritual experiences, to positive community connections and sacred service. The individual commitments of time, treasure, and talent that we infuse into our spiritual community directly correlates to its health, success, and ability to nurture lives of freedom and joy. To that end, we invite you to take the next step on your spiritual path and join us on the journey by becoming a member of Unity of Olympia. There are two phases of membership at Unity. The first phase is becoming a Supporting Member. This is the entry point - the beginning of an intentional journey of deepening your own spiritual commitment and practice, as well as connecting more personally with others in our community. The second phase is to become a Governing Member. This is the longevity point - where you will show an even deeper commitment to Unity of Olympia with the ability to vote and shape the future of our spiritual community.
How to Join
Supporting Membership classes are scheduled every two months. Those interested in becoming a Supporting Member must fill out a New Supporting Member Application form and attend a Supporting Membership class. Upon completion of the class and application process, new Supporting Members will be offically recognized during a designated Sunday service.
Governing Members are officially received into our community once a year, prior to our Annual Membership meeting. Supporting Members who have fulfilled their Supporting Member commitments for at least one year are eligible to submit an application for Governing Membership. Once it is verified that the qualifications for Governing Membership have been fulfilled, the application will be submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval. New Governing Members will be officially received into membership of the ministry at a subsequent Sunday service.
