Unikids (through age 10): As we shift into the power of RELEASE, this week we will be talking about letting go of thoughts and feelings that do not serve us. Youth lessons are available both in person and online. Questions? Email Lisa here.

Uniteens and YOUers (ages 11-18):  Outside of Youth Sunday, Uniteens will be focused on the "Choice and Consequences" curriculum by the Association of Unity Churches, and YOUer's will be focusing on the "I of the Storm", for teens finding peace in the midst of conflict by Jane Simmons.  Questions? Leaning Into Light - by Janene Cummings

As I take my morning jaunts, I can't help but grin at the maple leaves showing off their brilliant reds, golds and oranges. I will even stop to watch a falling leaf slowly zig-zagging its way to the ground; what a magnificent world we're a part of!

And as the season brings more rain and wind - as autumn ushers in more darkness, I am inspired to slow down, yet share more of my personal light . . .

The Power of Song

Last Sunday the choir really enjoyed singing Siyahamba for everyone. This South African freedom song translates to: "We are marching in the light of God" and was widely used in the anti-apartheid movement. 

Before service, the choir had the pleasure of recording this song, and our well-wishes for Elmo. Music is such a powerful healing modality, and having the privilege of sharing our hearts with someone from our community makes it extra special. Holly, who accompanied Elmo to the hospital let us know that our recorded message was profoundly appreciated. P.S. Elmo is home now, and doing well!

Thank you, Terri Charles for bringing this song to the choir-- may its melodic message continue to bless humanity.

Interfaith Works

Resetting Our Sacred Table: November 24 @ 2:00-4:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, including the Squaxin Tribe. The Theme is “Building Bridges with Understanding” to include music, finger food, and time for social dialogue with members of other spiritual communities.
