Green Bag Day Results!

Wow! We are part of a neighbors-helping-neighbors program that is truly making a difference in people’s lives. Our Unity of Olympia “neighborhood” is participating in Thurston County Food Project, providing food to the Thurston County Food Bank every other month. Just look at what the group as a whole brought in for October!

• Total # of banana boxes filled: 290

• Total weight of those boxes: 10,730lbs!

• Total value of food collected: $23,176.80

• Total amount of money collected: $2,475

• Grand total value: $25,651.80

• Grand total of meals collected: 14,094

Together, we truly are making a positive difference in our community. Thank you! Next Green Bag Day: December 1st.

Interfaith Works

There are a couple of Interfaith Works events coming up that we want to keep you in the loop on. More information can be found on the IW website here.

• Combatants for Peace: Documentary showing & discussion. (About Israel/Palestine conflict & personal stories) Westminster Presbyterian October 26, 6:00-9:00 pm

• Resetting Our Sacred Table: November 24 @ 2:00-4:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, including the Squaxin Tribe. The Theme is “Building Bridges with Understanding” to include music, finger food, and time for social dialogue with members of other spiritual communities.

No meeting on Oct. 31st. Oct. 24th is the last Thursday evening group.
