Members of Unity of Olympia have been faithfully serving lunches for Unity Commons for the last 5+ years through various service projects, regular teams, and volunteer contributors.
Lunches consist of an entree, fruits & vegetables, desserts, and snacks for 30 people. Some days we even have 2 groups at once and we meet the needs of 60 people! What an amazing gift!
Lunch are provided to the residents of Unity Commons. Anything contributed above and beyond the needs of this group is given to other communities in need such as Sergio’s Center (shelter) and the Thurston County Food Bank. Nothing ever goes to waste! Monetary donations are always accepted.
Our current commitment is to serve lunch twice a month - and we'd love to see this expand! If you have a desire to begin contributing regularly to this program, or if you wish to be added to a list of people we contact when there is an open space in our contribution schedule, please let us know! The summer months can be tricky to schedule, often leaving us with holes in the service schedule. These are the times we could really use some extra hands.
