Greetings Friends--
I just wanted to take a minute to brag on our amazing youth. Many of you may not know that I teach piano to five of our Unity kiddos, and what a joy to see them all participating on Youth Sunday!
As a piano teacher, my role is not to create cookie-cutter pianists-- instead, my role is to give the kids a musical path that sparks their own creatorship. We work extensively with composing original music, and to watch them come alive at the sheer joy of creating something new is priceless! Each child has their own talent, their own special skill-- and i get the honor of shining a spot light and clapping (yes, i do clap a lot-- Lol).
What these kiddos may not know is, merely spending time with them is such incredible medicine for me every week. Merely putting our brains together and creating, laughing, and musically expanding is truly what the good life is all about. A big thank you to the kids and their amazing parents for sharing their world with me and all of us at Unity!
This holiday season, I hope you too get to bask in the presence of youthful creatorship-- even if it comes from your own inner-child.
