About Jay
I am a retired Army Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. I retired in 2021 from my last job at Madigan Hospital, JBLM. I live on a 1 acre "farm" where I have an orchard and grow berries in a permaculture landscape. I grow organic vegetables and herbs. We also own a houseboat which is moored downtown. Reverend Terry will be marrying Denise and I on July 5th. We're going with a hippie Summer of Love vibe.
We have been coming regularly and we feel we have found our spiritual home. I have been drawn to the heart-based spirituality which manifests here. Interestingly I have been using heart-based treatments with servicemen and their families for stress management for over a decade. I am currently a representative of Unity to Interfaith works and I have submitted my application for a board position there. I am hoping to support the mental health of the homeless. I am also considered to be a friend of MiChiantla.org which supports the mental health of newly arrived immigrants. I'm really looking forward to serving on the Board of Trustees for the next 3 years and helping the congregation grow in any way I can. Thanks so much! Dr. Jay
